The Arena Gun Club is more than a pistol range. You can shop their wide selection of firearms and ammunition as well as browse their Fedha Nyuki boutique. This is a perfect outing to see who is the king of the mountain when attempting to scale the rock wall at Laredo's indoor rock climbing facility. There is more than one way to reach the top, instructors are on-hand to guide climbers of all levels from beginners to the advanced. Whichever path you choose remember to have fun!

The Imaginarium of South Texas is located inside Mall del Norte next to Dillard's. For over 20 years, the museum has been educating and motiving the minds of children of all ages. Children can take part in hands-on interactive exhibits and sign-up for daily activities.

Kayaking the Rio Grande

Looking to become one with nature? Want to test your endurance and upper body strength while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature? Venture out and kayak the waters of the Rio Grande River. Laredo Kayak takes adventurous souls to kayak enjoy a morning out in the sun. For a fee, you'll be provided with a kayak and life jackets. Follow them on Facebook where outing dates and times are posted regularly. Reserved spots are necessary.

There are many options when it comes to visiting the park. Hiking, kayaking, fishing, planning a picnic, even overnight stays are permitted.
Daily and overnight fees can be found on their website. Campsights include water, electricity and some have sewer hookups.

Safety first is the priority at the Laredo Axe House. For those inclined to take out their frustrations, it seems like axe throwing is right up your alley. This is one of Laredo's newest attractions and the only digital axe throwing facility in South Texas. There are 10 digital interactive lanes with 8 games for guests to choose from. The Laredo Center for the Arts coordinates, promotes, encourages and supports the arts in Laredo and South Texas. Located in historical downtown Laredo, the center is opened year-round and has a series of exhibits planned throughout the year. Workshops part of the Laredo Center for the Arts Kids Art Studio encourage and motivate young artists to explore their artistic abilities. Laredo Coffee Tour

Have you taken the Laredo Coffee Tour? This is a great way to spend the day while you're out exploring Laredo. Stop by one of Laredo's local coffee shops and pick-up a self guided map and visit as many coffee shops as your heart desires. Bonus, if you visit two or more coffee shops and get your map stamped, go to the Visit Laredo gift shop and redeem for a complimentary Laredo souvenir.

The Laredo Safari and Adventure Park is home to Arthur the Giraffe. Spend a day visiting Arthur and his friends, while you're on-site, you can also go ziplining and ATV riding around the property. Some of Arthur's friends include camels, zebras, peacocks and other fury friends. The safari is available for party rentals and even has cabins available for overnight rentals.

The Laredo Water Museum has over 30 interactive exhibits which feature educational lessons on water conservation and the water treatment process. With only a handful of water museums in the country, Laredo's Water Museum is one of three in the state of Texas. Admission is always free, private tours for groups are available and can be given in English or Spanish.

Main Event is where you can have the most fun all under one roof. Activities include a bowling alley, multi-level laser tag, and an arcade with many interactive video games. This Robert Trent Jones, II signature design course overlooks the majestic Rio Grande River. The Max offers more than just regular golf, you can play a round of bucket golf, or get familiar with the course by renting golf carts and touring the facility. The museum is housed in a Mexican vernacular structure constructed in 1830 with an addition in 1860. This historic home features displays recreating an authentic c.1830 home in Laredo. The staff is very helpful and arrangements can be made for either a guided or self-guided tour.

Not exactly sure where to get started to find murals around town? Pop into a local hotel or stop by the Visit Laredo gift shop at 101 Salinas Ave. for a complimentary murals guide (Monday thru Friday 8am - 5pm). Make your way around town taking in the colorful sights and artistic expression of local artists.

Immerse yourself in a digital surround sound and video technology experience at the TAMIU Planetarium. The 40 foot dome of the planetarium is inside a four-sided glass pyramid topped with a gold leaf pinnacle. The glass pyramid planetarium building is a shining beacon at Texas A&M International University, and is one of the foremost attractions of Laredo.
