Celebrating Earth Day at the El Centro de Laredo Farmers Market

The early bird gets the worm! This time around the early bird will be able to purchase farm fresh eggs!

Saturday, April 21st, Laredo Main Street will host their monthly El Centro de Laredo Farmers Market from 9am – 1pm at Veterans Plaza in historical downtown Laredo

This is a great way to kick-off your weekend and stock up on some fresh produce. Don’t worry about parking, El Metro Transit Center offers free parking when you present a market purchase voucher. The theme for April’s Farmers Market is ‘Celebrating Earth Day’! There will be a live gardening demo on-site.

Aside from the free gardening demonstrations you’ll also find free Zumba lessons and free blood pressure screenings. Live music will fill the air and you’ll have over 20 vendors to purchase home grown and homemade goodies to purchase from. Below are some items we’ve seen and purchased at the Farmers Market.

Perhaps you’re interested in becoming a vendor for the Farmers Market? Do you make homemade food items such as fruit pies, canned jams/jellies, coated/uncoated nuts, or anything that might fall under the Texas Cottage Food Law? Visit the Laredo Main Street website for more information.

Make sure the follow their Facebook page for future announcements, vendor listings, activities and performers.

Come out and support your local vendors!
