La Laguna Mariscos & Sushi – Culinary Scene

I had heard wonderful stories from my co-workers about La Laguna, one said that if I wanted to eat the whole sea, that was the right place to go. So it was not a complete surprise the first time I went with a visiting TV crew from Austin and saw their vast menu, that I made this one of my favorite seafood restaurants in town.

The manager at the Shiloh location as well as the staff were not only very friendly but you can tell that they are very detail oriented, making sure the food and drinks that come to your table are up to their high standards. Every plate and drink is carefully designed and presented to make a great impact. But the food at La Laguna is not only visually appealing, it is also delicious, from their camaron aguachile, to their fried fish, I haven’t found anything I don’t like yet.

A great destination for lunch, but even better for dinner when you can enjoy their unique libations. Decadent concoctions that are almost family sized, will grab your attention and become a fun element as people, couples and even groups try to finish a triple sized michelada! I know, sharing a drink might not be your preference, don’t worry, they have many other individual options.

A great option for seafood and sushi!
