July 29 + 30: Direct Filmmaking Workshop (ENTRE - C & Andres)
Price: $20 2-day / $10 individual day

Friday 29th: 6-9 PM
Saturday the 30th: 1-4PM
Our pals from the RGV are building a movement in the Valley, and we asked them to share some of that love with us! Instructors C and Andres will lead a course on direct animation, a camera-less filmmaking technique. Participants will make their own experimental film by drawing on 16mm film strips.
The films made in the workshop will be screened for the public alongside ENTRE video artwork on the evening of July 30th with a 16mm projector on site at Cultura Beer Garden upstairs with a special live music performance by synthwave band Frecuencia Chamán.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
ENTRE is an artist-run film center and regional archive that focuses on the creation, exhibition, and preservation of community-made cinema, documentary, and video art.
Located in the borderlands of the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, ENTRE’s mission is to provide access, knowledge, and skills in the realm of filmmaking, inviting more voices to document, share and archive the vast narrative of US/Mexico border communities
