Shopping galore along San Bernardo Avenue – Legendary for its South of the Border atmosphere, this 40-block shopper’s paradise offers the finest in Mexican imports on this side of the border. Take a stroll through historic Laredo – Villa San Agustin de Laredo was founded in 1755. Don Tomas Sanchez, who established the new settlement, gave it a saint’s name (typical custom for all Spanish colonial settlements) and added Laredo for the town on Spain’s northern coast.
