Registration Information


Please fill out the form below to register for either the Laredo Big Bad BBQ Cook-Off Grand Champion or the Jackpot Challenge. You may participate in as many of the categories as you choose.

Should you sign up for the Grand Champion, you will be required to cook Brisket, Pork Spare Ribs, & Chicken.

Once you have filled out the form, you will be directed to make your payment electronically.

1. Teams will compete in all three meat categories to qualify for Big Bad BBQ Cook Off Grand Champion (1st -10th places will win prize monies for brisket, chicken and pork spare ribs.)

Packet pick up will take place on Friday, November 10 from 10:00am to 7:00pm.


Site Regulations

• Asphalt bottom - No spikes on asphalt
• Water and electricity will NOT be provided
Only 1 vehicle allowed to stay in space provided after 4:30pm on Friday.
• All teams must have a fire extinguisher
• No open/floor fires allowed
• No golf carts or ATVs allowed
• Competitors cannot sell any type of food, drinks or alcohol on the grounds
• Competitors will be issued a white bracelet
• All teams must submit a signed W9 form in order to receive their cash prizes.

Prizes

  • 1st -10th places will win prize monies for brisket, chicken and pork spare ribs.
  • Jackpots paying out 80% to 1st thru 3rd place for each category (fajitas, pan de campo, and beans)
  • People's choice win a special prize (TBA).
  • Grand Champion, Jackpot and People’s Choice prizes will be presented at the awards ceremony, Saturday, November 11 at 7:00pm

People's Choice

• There is no cost for you to participate in this competition.
• It is free and voluntary.
• Teams will hand out a sample of whatever meat or food product they would like for attendees to judge on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
• One sample per person.
• Attendees will then vote for their favorite via text
• Competitors can sign up for People’s Choice on Friday, November 10 from 10:00am to 7:00pm when they check in.
• Winner will be announced during the awards ceremony
